  • 1/4 cup (50 mL) sambuca
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Who would have guessed that strawberries, licorice and pepper would go together so well? And who would have guessed that three strawberries on a plate could look this pretentious? Feel free to be more generous and pile these high on a serving plate at your next cocktail party—a definite crowd-pleaser!

  1. Rinse strawberries under cold water and pat dry with paper towel. Pile onto serving plate or shallow bowl and pour over sambuca. Sprinkle with pepper to taste and serve.
